BBQ Brat Sauce Recipe
One of the best ways to cook brats (or any sausage) is to cook it in a brat sauce. Now I presmoked some Johnsonville Firecracker brats…so I finished them off by putting them in this brat sauce on the smoker. Below is the recipe.
1/2 onion sliced
1/2 bottle Kraft original bbq sauce
1tbsp Black Pearl Original BBQ Rub (www.blackperalrubs.com)
1tsp. Smoked paprika
1/2 tbsp yellow mustard
3/4 cup water
Combine ingredients in a shallow baking disk and place on the smoker for 1/2 hour at 225 degrees. Stir, then Place precooked sausage in the baking dish and simmer to taste.
